Mariah– I have dealt with weight issues since about the 3rd grade. I was always the chubby one. After a knee injury my senior year I started putting on even more weight. After high school I became a mother and had 3 babies in 3 years. My highest weight was over 300lbs.
I worked hard at eating right and working out but could never get past a certain weight. My family has a history of heart disease and diabetes and so to help decrease my chances I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery.
My motivation was and is my children and family. I want to be here as long as I can with them. I had my surgery May 9, 2018. I weighed in at 249 and in less than a year was past my doctors goal weight of 165. I went from a size 22 jeans(under belly) to a 12(over belly) and went from a 4x shirt to a lg and some medium. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I have stayed right at my goal weight or a few lbs less for over a year! Hoping to get the excess skin removed too. Thank you Eviva!
Joe-I was always the bigger kid and struggled with my weight. I was an emotional eater and didn’t realize how much of an issue my weight was until I was 356lbs. I started changing things up and got down to 287 on my surgery date Nov 27 2018. I am now 208 and have lost many inches. I used to wear a 58 jeans and now rock a 32. I wanted to be here for my kids and family and so I made the decision to join my wife and have the gastric sleeve surgery.
